Privacy Policy for the Protection of Personal Data

Santa Fe refers to two legally registered and independent entities in Ecuador:

Hotel Santa Fe (commercial name)
Legal name of Byron Antonio Rueda Ajoy
RUC No. 2000087540001

Yacht Santa Fe III (commercial name)
Legal name of Yate Santa Fe YSF Cia. Ltda.
RUC No. 2091767486001

Each entity acts independently as a Data Controller for the personal data related to the services it operates.

This Privacy Policy explains how and why personal data is collected, used, stored, shared, and protected in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and the Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos Personales.

 

1. When We Collect Information: We collect personal information when you:

  • Make a reservation or booking
  • Use our booking engine
  • Fill out a contact or customer service form
  • Communicate with us by email, phone, or WhatsApp
  • Visit our website or subdomains

The web domains covered by this policy include:

  • santafegalapagos.com.ec
  • hotel.santafegalapagos.com.ec
  • yacht.santafegalapagos.com.ec

Not all fields are mandatory; however, certain information is required to complete reservations and comply with legal obligations.

 

2. Independent Data Controllers: Hotel Santa Fe and Yate Santa Fe III maintain separate internal Data Protection Manuals and act independently as Data Controllers.

Personal data related to accommodation services is processed by Byron Antonio Rueda Ajoy.

Personal data related to maritime tour operations is processed by Yate Santa Fe YSF Cia. Ltda.

If a Client contracts both services, each entity processes only the data necessary for its respective service.

 

3. Booking Redirection to Galapagos a la Carte: Online reservations for Yacht Santa Fe III may redirect to the booking engine operated by Galapagos a la Carte Galacarte S.A. with RUC No. 2091761222001.

 

In such cases:

  • Galapagos a la Carte acts as an independent Data Controller for booking and payment processing.
  • Personal data submitted on their platform is governed by their Privacy Policy.
  • Yacht Santa Fe III receives only the operational data required to execute the contracted tour services.

Hotel Santa Fe does not collect yacht booking payment data directly.

 

4. Information We Collect: Depending on the service contracted, we may collect:

  • Full name
  • Nationality
  • Passport or ID number
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Travel details
  • Dietary restrictions or health-related information necessary for service execution
  • Payment verification information

We do not store complete credit card details on our own servers. Payments are processed securely by third-party providers such as PayPal, TAB.travel, banks, or OTAs.

 

5. How We Use Your Information: Personal data is used to:

  • Manage reservations and bookings
  • Issue vouchers and confirmations
  • Register guests and passengers
  • Comply with Ecuadorian Navy and Galapagos National Park manifest requirements
  • Fulfill tax and accounting obligations
  • Improve our website and services
  • Communicate with you regarding your reservation
  • Verify and process payments

6. Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Personal data may be shared only when necessary, with:

  • Online Travel Agencies (OTAs)
  • Galapagos a la Carte (for yacht bookings processed through their system)

  • Service providers directly involved in delivering the contracted service

Data is never shared for unrelated marketing or advertising purposes.

 

7. International Transfers: Some payment processors or booking platforms may process data outside Ecuador. Such international transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable Ecuadorian data protection regulations.
