Two mandatory payments apply:
Transit Control Card (TCC / Tarjeta de Control de Tránsito – TCT): $20 USD per person (before departure).
Galapagos National Park Fee: $200 USD for non-resident adults; reduced rates apply for children and Ecuadorian residents. Payment is cash only upon arrival.
The official currency in Ecuador is the US Dollar. While credit and debit cards are widely accepted, we recommend bringing some cash in small denominations, especially for entry fees and small vendors.
Authorities may request proof of confirmed accommodation upon arrival. It is recommended to have at least your first night booked.
Airlines may request a return or onward ticket before boarding your flight to Galapagos.
